On 25 May 2021, Orkney Islands Council made the above-named order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order, which comes into operation on 1 July 2021, will be to: restrict period of waiting of vehicles in any lengths of road specified in the Order; provide for the manner of standing in parking places; provide for the manner of standing in disabled persons’ parking places; restrict the use of motorcycle parking places; restrict the use of taxi parking places; and make provision for disabled persons’ blue badge holders.
A copy of the order may be may be inspected at Customer Services, Council Offices, Kirkwall, Orkney, KW15 1NY (10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday) and at Warehouse Buildings, 2-12 Victoria Street, Stromness, Orkney, KW16 3AA (10:00 to12:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday and 12:00 to 15:00 on Saturdays).
