Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of site personnel and road users while roads maintenance works are carried out.
The Order will come into operation on Friday 16 April 2021 for the period until and including Thursday 30 September 2021 and its effect will be to close the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Order; being Alfred Street, Dundas Street, Ferry Road, Graham Place, John Street, Ness Road, South End and Victoria Street, all Stromness; and Albert Street, Bridge Street, Main Street, Tankerness Lane and Victoria Street, all Kirkwall. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when the roads are closed.
