On 13 September 2019 Orkney Islands Council made the above-named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order, which comes into operation on 30 September 2019, is as described in the relevant notice of proposals published in The Orcadian on 27 June 2019.
A copy of the Order may be inspected at Customer Services, Orkney Islands Council, Council Offices, Kirkwall, KW15 1NY (from 09:00 to 17:00 Mondays to Fridays inclusive) and at Warehouse Buildings, 2-12 Victoria Street, Stromness, KW16 3AA (from 09:15 to 19:00 on Mondays, 09:15 to 17:00 Tuesdays to Fridays inclusive and 10:45 to 16:00 on Saturdays) and it is available in the 'Related Downloads' section of this page.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks from 13 September 2019, make application to the Court of Session for this purpose.
