Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council proposes to exercise its powers under section 1(4) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to delete the section of public road which served the former caravan site at The Crafty, Kirkwall more particularly described in the Schedule hereto from their list of public roads.
A copy of the plan showing the length of the deletion is available for inspection at Customer Services, Orkney Islands Council, Council Offices, Kirkwall, KW15 1NY (from 10:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 Mondays to Fridays inclusive) and at Warehouse Buildings, 2 12 Victoria Street, Stromness, KW16 3AA (from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 Mondays to Fridays inclusive and 12:00 to 15:00 on Saturdays), and can also be found below.
Any person may, within 28 days from 15 October 2020, object to the proposal by notice in writing to The Chief Executive, Orkney Islands Council, Council Offices, Kirkwall, Orkney, KW15 1NY. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.
The section of road which branches off from the road formerly known as The Crafty, Kirkwall and now known as Glaitness Park, Kirkwall at a point 118 metres from its junction with the A963 Junction Road, Kirkwall and extends in a southerly direction for a distance of 50 metres and from which there are four associated bays with a total length of 108 metres, the section of road and associated bays extend to a total length of 158 metres and serve the former caravan site at The Crafty, Kirkwall.
