18 February 2021

With level 3 restrictions set to continue in Orkney until at least mid-March, the Sport and Leisure Service are updating customers and staff on the impact this will have on facilities and activities up to 31 March.

  • Indoor group exercise classes remain cancelled, however we are still offering our Online Exercise Programme by signing up online at www.orkney.gov.uk/slbookings
  • Group bookings for organised outdoor contact sport, competition, events and physical activity for adults (18+ years) will be contacted and cancelled until 31 March.

Dounby Centre:

Although it is planned for some facilities not to re-open until 1 April, if restrictions ease prior to 31 March we will look to adapt the facility/activity arrangements shown. The Scottish Governments level 3 COVID-19 guidance does allow for a range of activities to take place, so if there is a demand from local groups/clubs please contact the Sport and Leisure service on leisure.culture@orkney.gov.uk as we want to ensure that while following guidance we continue to try to accommodate our community users wherever possible.
