The Orkney Museum is set to close temporarily while a new exhibition is set up.
The need for social distancing and other Covid-19 safety measures mean that the building cannot remain open while work to install the art exhibition takes place.
The current exhibition – Between Islands – can be seen at the museum until 16:00 on Friday 22 January.
Part of a project devised by the Stornoway arts centre, An Lanntair, it features paintings, drawings and prints that reflect the heritage and culture of Orkney, Shetland and the Outer Hebrides. It will still be available to view online at https://orkneybetweenislands.wordpress.com/
The museum will re-open on Tuesday 9 February with the new exhibition in place.
