Seven new electric vehicle (EV) chargers have been brought into action in Orkney in recent weeks.
The chargers recently commissioned are:
- two rapid chargers and one fast charger in Stromness at the Ferry Road (south) Car Park
- one rapid and one fast charger in Finstown at The Maitland Place Car Park
- one fast charger in the Community Centre Car Park in Burray
- one rapid charger in The Church Road Car Park in St Margaret’s Hope
The chargers were commissioned by Orkney Islands Council and funded by the Scottish Government.
This brings the total number of public EV chargers in Orkney maintained by the Council to 30.
