Parts of Orkney Islands Council’s online services will experience disruptions on Saturday December 12.
Capita, who manage the Scottish Wide Area Network (SWAN) and National Service Scotland (NSS), are carrying out essential works on Saturday.
The work is scheduled to take place between 08:00 and 13:00.
Council systems affected include:
- Access to the Council’s online Planning and Building Warrants portals.
- Marine Services Port Management.
- Orkney Library IT Systems such as public Wi-Fi and catalogues.
- The MyView system for Council staff.
- Scapa Flow Visitor Centre networks.
- Westray Care Centre networks.
The work is not expected to affect phone lines at Council facilities.
The Council website and social media sites should remain unaffected, and it’s expected Council staff will still be able to access emails.
