Orkney Islands Council has announced that a council by-election will be held in Orkney for the North Isles Ward on Thursday 1 October 2020.
The by-election follows the death of North Isles councillor, Kevin Woodbridge, in April.
The election will be carried out by postal vote only to ensure the safety of voters and staff in the current circumstances.
