The Community Support Hub call centre at the Pickaquoy Centre is changing its opening hours from Monday 13 July, to Monday to Friday, 10:00 - 14:00.
Calls should be made to 0800 111 4000, via the dedicated email address at coronavirussupporthub@orkney.gov.uk or online via MyOrkney.
Support Hub manager, Keith Bendall said: “We have been open for some time now and those most at risk have either been in touch or we have made contact with them and processes are in place to provide assistance where necessary. Thankfully, the numbers of confirmed cases of the coronavirus have remained very low in Orkney and as the lockdown measures have been eased the number of calls to the centre has reduced significantly as the need for support is decreasing every week.
“But for anyone shielding who finds themselves requiring assistance out-of-hours, they would adopt the same approach, which would be to either call 999 in an emergency situation, or 888000 for urgent social care enquiries.”
