Digital Development grant scheme launches

Orkney Islands Council has launched a pilot Digital Development grant scheme to help local businesses invest in IT projects.

Grants between £1,250 up to a maximum of £10,000 are available to cover up to 50% of project costs.

Eligible projects include purchase of software, digital skills training for staff, hardware to support the project, building an online booking/ticketing system, implementing an eCommerce solution, data analytics, developing an app, building or upgrading a website and annual charges for platforms (first year only).

Applications will be assessed on a first come, first served basis and businesses will be asked to demonstrate their trading record and how the project will enhance their business.
