The Orkney Islands Council (Buried Drainage Infrastructure) (Temporary Closure) Order 2022

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during Andrew Sinclair Ltd.’s inspection, surveying and minor maintenance works on buried drainage infrastructure.
The Order will be in operation from Monday 11 April 2022 for the period until and including Sunday 17 April 2022 and its effect will be to close Great Western Road (Pickaquoy Road to West Castle Street); Junction Road (Castle Street to Pickaquoy Road); West Castle Street; Tankerness Lane; and West Tankerness Lane, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
