I am an Isles Business and we use beige bags and have ran out – are these still being collected and how do I get some more?

Waste collections on the Isles are continuing as normal but frequency could be affected by ferry timetable changes and sometimes at short notice.

We are doing everything we can to maintain waste collection services to the Isles and where we can’t collect, or where there are  to be changes to collections, we will publicise this as quickly as we can through the Council’s Facebook Page – OIC Updates and Eco Active Orkney (the Council’s Waste Team Page), and wherever possible in The Orcadian or on Radio Orkney.

If you have run out of bags, please contact Development and Infrastructure at developmentandinfrastructure@orkney.gov.uk, or the Council’s Customer Services Team, on 01856 873535, to make arrangements for delivery.
