Feedback is invited on proposals which set out the approach Orkney Islands Council will take in future in the procurement of work, goods and services.
A draft version of the Council’s updated procurement strategy goes out to consultation today (1 December), with comments invited by 18 December 2016. The Draft Procurement Consultation is available in PDF format from the 'Related Downloads' section of this page.
Earlier this year, a Meet the Buyer event provided local businesses with the opportunity to find out about work planned by the Council over the next two years. The input the firms provided has helped shape the draft strategy, which is available from the 'Related Downloads' section of this page.
Gillian Morrison, the Council’s Executive Director of Corporate Services, said: “We hope that the updated strategy will be read and be of interest to a wide range of contractors and suppliers who would like to do business with OIC.
"We welcome feedback and all responses received will be considered carefully before a final version of the strategy is adopted by the Council.”
You can give your views on the consultation via the link to the 'Procurement Strategy' on SurveyMonkey available from the 'Related Sites' section of this page.
