Orkney Health and Care Joint Commissioning Strategy 2012 – 2022

This consultation closed on March 15, 2013

Feedback is being sought on a new document that sets out the framework for the services Orkney Health and Care plans to deliver over the next 10 years.

OHAC is a partnership between Orkney Islands Council and NHS Orkney. Its joint commissioning strategy, currently in draft form, is based on an assessment of future health and care needs in the county.

The strategy looks at the services that may be required to meet these needs and at how they might be delivered by OHAC and partner organisations, such as the voluntary sector.

Caroline Sinclair, Head of Service with OHAC, said: “By working together we aim to improve and develop social care, community health, and wellbeing for people across our community.

“We hope the strategy will read by people interested in our plans for the years ahead and, in particular, by groups and organisations that may wish to get involved in working with us.

“We welcome feedback and will consider carefully all the responses we receive.”

The draft joint commissioning strategy is available from the 'Related Downloads' section of this page. Paper copies are also available on request by contacting Rosemary Colsell at OIC on 01856873535 ext 2640 or by emailing Rosemary Colsell.

Responses should be sent to the same email address by March 15 or posted to: Rosemary Colsell, OIC, School Place, Kirkwall, Orkney KW15 1NY.
