Orkney Islands Council is planning to carry out some road maintenance and flag repairs on Albert Street and Bridge Street, Kirkwall, tomorrow (Thursday 24 May) and Friday.
The roads will be closed to all vehicles between 09:00 and 12:00 noon and again between 13:00pm and 15:30pm each day, to enable the works to be carried out safely.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the duration of the works.
Once works are completed, some areas where repairs have been undertaken will remain covered by metal plates to protect the repairs until all materials have had sufficient time to cure.
The Council would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while works are carried out.
