The annual Riding of the Marches is one of many events that have had to be cancelled this year because of the Covid-19 crisis.
Like many of you, our Convener Harvey Johnston had been looking forward to one of the most colourful spectacles of the Orkney summer.
Here are his thoughts as he looks back to the Riding of the Marches in years gone by – and forward to the event happening again in the years ahead.
