Central Kirkwall road works update - Tuesday 18 January

Update on the investigative road works in central Kirkwall for Tuesday 18 January.
Work will be taking place on West Castle Street, Castle Street and a small area of Junction Road, all of which will be controlled by temporary traffic lights.
Upon completion of these works, contractors will move along to West Tankerness Lane which will be closed to traffic in order to carry out the works safely. There is also the possibility that later in the day, depending on how the works progress, they'll be moving onto Junction Road between Tankerness Land and the roundabout at Pickaquoy Road (with a closure in place between McEwen’s and the Job Centre).
As always, the Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused, and thanks motorists for taking care around anyone working on our roads.
