The Three Villages Masterplan
Following extensive consultation, the Three Villages Masterplan was formally approved by the Environment, Planning and Protective Services committee on 2nd March 2010.
The document was the subject of consultation throughout 2008 and 2009. It was also subject to Strategic Environment Assessment which included a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment. Full details of the consultation process and a copy of the Environmental Report are available upon request. The Masterplan has status as Supplementary Planning Guidance supporting the Orkney Local Plan (adopted December 2004). This Masterplan will be a material consideration when making decisions on planning applications within the 3 villages which fall to be considered after 2 March 2010. It will inform the review of the Orkney Local Development Plan which is currently underway.
