Enhanced Demand Responsive Transport Initiative 2012-13

Groups wanting to set up special community transport initiatives are invited by Orkney Islands Council to apply for funding from the Enhanced Demand Responsive Transport Initiative (EDRTI).  Applications must be completed and submitted to the Transportation Office by no later than 5pm on 27 April 2012.

The purpose of the Enhanced Demand Responsive Transport Initiative (EDRTI) is to provide assistance to community transport groups; whereby, the aim is to provide and deliver transport services where there are no conventional public transport services available.

It is not the intention of the initiative to fund these projects in their entirety. Therefore, Community transport groups are expected to raise part of the costs of their scheme themselves (for example, through generating fares; revenue; donations or by successful application to other grant funding bodies.)

Applications are assessed according to the award criteria stated within the application form.
