Supported Accommodation
Orkney Health and Care, Orkney Housing and Orkney Island Property Development provide supported accommodation in St Margaret’s Hope, Kirkwall and Westray. Each property is leased on a tenancy basis. You are eligible to apply for a tenancy where you have an assessed need for support and housing.
The first step of assessment is to contact Orkney Health and Care, Adult Services Help Desk, as follows:
- Visit: Council Reception desk at School Place and ask to speak to the Orkney Health and Care Help Desk worker between 09:00 and 13:00.
- Phone: 01856 873535, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 13:00 or 13:00 to 17:00 if an emergency.
- Email: Adult Services Helpdesk.
A Care Manager will be allocated; who will assess the needs of the individual and make a recommendation for a placement dependent on their assessment. The Allocation of Residential Care (ARC) process is available from the 'Related Links' section of this page.
On-site care staff will assist you to be as independent as possible through agreed scheduled care and access to support or services where needed.
