The Development Plan Scheme 2012

The Development Plan Scheme 2012 forms our fourth Local Development Plan Newsletter and Development Plan Timeline. Under planning legislation Development Planning and Regeneration are required to revise the Development Plan Scheme every year, reflecting the progress so far and the anticipated progress until the Plan is published.

The aim of the Newsletter is also to provide planning stakeholders and members of the public with an with details of the stages that still have to be completed as well as when and how you can get involved and have your say.

The Development Plan Scheme Timeline provides a programme of work and associated timescales. Note that we are scheduled to deliver a new Local Development Plan for Orkney by Spring 2013.

The Newsletter also provides details of our Development Plan Database, which demonstrates the wide range of people and organisations that want to be involved in the new Local Development Plan. A list of the Supplementary Guidance that we intend to complete as part of the Orkney Local Development Plan is also provided which includes associated timescales.
