North Isles Landscape Partnership Scheme

The North Isles Landscape Partnership Scheme (NILPS) is a proposed programme of projects involving the enhancement, promotion, and protection of the built, natural and cultural heritage of the North Isles of Orkney.

In October 2017, the round 2 application for NILPS was submitted to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for consideration. A decision on the application is anticipated in March 2018. If successful, the £4.5 million programme will be delivered throughout the North Isles during 2018-2023. The main document which makes up the application to the HLF is called the Landscape Conservation Action Plan (LCAP). The LCAP encapsulates the ambition and objectives for NILPS, as well as outlining the projects which will be delivered.

The LCAP is available for viewing and downloading by via the 'Related Sites' section below.
