Orkney Islands Council can assist local business financially through the Reserve Fund and by providing information and assistance through the Business Gateway.

Almost all Reserve Fund Assistance is provided under set policies and guidelines which specify what kinds of projects are eligible and how much assistance is given, as a proportion of the project cost.

Articles in this section cover our business development services in detail and provide links to application forms and guidance notes where appropriate.
