On 15 April 2019 Orkney Islands Council made the above-named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order, which comes into operation on 6 May 2019 is as described in the relevant notice of proposals published in The Orcadian on 13 September 2018 save for the modification that parking will now be permitted for a maximum period of two hours (rather than a maximum period of one hour), with no return to park again within the following three hour period, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive in the parking spaces situated on the north side of A960 Palace Road, Kirkwall.
A copy of the Order and the relative map may be inspected during normal office hours at Customer Services, Orkney Islands Council, Council Offices, Kirkwall, KW15 1NY (from 09:00 to 17:00 Mondays to Fridays inclusive) and at Warehouse Buildings, 2-12 Victoria Street, Stromness, KW16 3AA (from 09:15 to 19:00 on Mondays, 09:15 to 17:00 Tuesdays to Fridays inclusive and 10:45 to 16:00 on Saturdays) and online at www.orkney.gov.uk. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks from 15 April 2019 make application to the Court of Session for this purpose.
