Surface dressing is planned for Monday 2 August on the road that runs through Herston in South Ronaldsay.
This is due to take place on the B9042-Hertson Road, from the road end to the junction with the Hools road.
Residents have been advised that a full road closure will be needed while surface dressing is underway.
Our apologies for any inconvenience this causes - we thank residents and drivers for their patience and co-operation while this important work is carried out.
Drivers are reminded for everyone's safety to observe the speed limits in place on newly dressed roads.
