Personal Profile

First elected to Council in May 2007. Part of the team for Kirkwall West and Orphir Ward. Proud father and grandfather of two children and five grandchildren.  Left school after sixth year and entered the civil service, coming back to Orkney in 1974 to work in the family business. Took over as Managing Director of WR Tullock in 1987, a position I still hold to this day - when I am not roaming the corridors of power at School Place, this is where you will find me. I am a Trustee of the Picakquoy Centre.

Outside interests

Avid motor racing fan especially rallying and Formula One. I was the founding Chairman and still am Chair of the local MacMillan Cancer Support branch. I am a member of the Stromness Golf Club.
