Our Kirkwall team is available from:

  • 9am to 5pm - Monday
  • 9am to 5pm - Tuesday.
  • 10am to 5pm - Wednesday
  • 9am to 5pm - Thursday 
  • 9am to 5pm - Friday.

Our Stromness team is available from:

Contact Us by Post

If you would like to contact the Council by post, please ensure that your correspondence is addressed correctly. If possible, please give the relevant name, Service and Function (if known) followed by the Council's postal address: Orkney Islands Council, Council Offices, School Place, Kirkwall, KW15 1NY.

This will enable us to direct any correspondence we received to the correct person as soon as possible.

For dropping off documentation at Kirkwall Customer Service, please use the letterbox at the main door or the red post box located inside the main door. Please do not deposit cash in the letterboxes.
