Statement of Local Totals for the Counting Officer's Area

I, Alistair Buchan, Counting Officer appointed for the Orkney Islands local government area at the Scottish Independence Referendum, held on 18 September 2014, hereby certify and declare:

1. The total number of ballot papers counted in the referendum in the Orkney Islands area is fourteen thousand nine hundred and seven (14907). The turnout is 83.7%.

2. The total number of votes cast in relation to each answer to the referendum question in this area is as follows:
