College Management Council
The College Management Council was established as a Sub-committee of the Education Committee in March 2009. Its remit includes responsibility for the governance of Orkney College, the quality of education provided by the College, the estates strategy and its annual budget.
The Scheme of Administration, which sets out the referred and delegated functions of the Council and its Committees and Sub-committees, is available from the 'Related Downloads' section of this page. Membership of the College Management Council Sub-committee comprises the following:
- Five Elected Members of the Education, Leisure and Housing Committee, one of which must be the Chair or Vice Chair of the Committee.
- Four Business Community representatives (with voting rights).
- Four Community/Third Sector representatives (with voting rights).
