Consultation period: 16 March 2017 - 27 April 2017.

The draft Supplementary Guidance: Aquaculture is published for a 6-week period of consultation from 16 March - 27 April 2017. The Supplementary Guidance: Aquaculture accompanies Policy 12 Coastal Development in the Orkney Local Development Plan. The guidance contains development criteria against which all proposals for aquaculture development will be assessed and a spatial strategy to guide development to appropriate locations. It aims to provide a robust framework to assess new development whilst maximising the potential benefits from the aquaculture industry in Orkney.
