What's New?

Amended Orkney Core Paths Plan now open for consultation

The Orkney Core Paths Plan identifies a framework of paths that provide local people and visitors with opportunities to enjoy and get around the countryside across the islands.

Local authorities may review their core paths network periodically. Orkney Islands Council has recently carried out this exercise and has published an amended core paths plan for consultation which runs from 15 March until 7 June 2018. Audio casting

You can listen to debates as they happen in the Council Chamber. Meetings of the main Committees and the Full Council are broadcast live. We also provide a listen-again service, with audio recordings made available within two working days of the meetings taking place.

The next meetings to be broadcast are:

  • Wednesday 14 March – Integration Joint Board (09:30 start).

All other meetings start at 10:30.
